I created some invitations like 3 months ago, and I can't find them anymore.

Do the invitations get removed automatically after a period of time?

If not, what dictates whether I can see an invitation or not?

Also, does the tool contain some sort of a log, in case someone deleted that invitation?

Invitations are not automatically deleted, so it's possible that someone deleted them. Once deleted, invitations are gone for good.

You can view/create invitations for a survey if you have "Form.Administer" permission on the survey. If that permission was removed, you would no longer see the invitations for that particular survey.
