Active Directory User Group Security

Is Checkbox ever going to support Windows Group Security permissions?
This would be helpful to maintain permissions on certain surveys I am planning to deploy for use only by employees.
It wouldn't be reasonable to maintain each user account individually as opposed to just granting a group like "Finance" in Windows rights to respond to something like "PO Form" survey...

This isn't a feature that we currently have, but it is something we plan to add in the future when we extend the current AD support.

Any word on development for AD groups?

Our next release, Checkbox 4.5, is in the QA phase of development and does not contain this functionality. This is a feature we would still like to add to the product. Because of its tight coupling with the Checkbox authentication code it will most likely occur when we update the identity and authorization code base; this is a major change to the product and is unlikely to be completed before Checkbox 4.7.
