Question Creating Survey screen using API

Hi,
Does anyone know how I can use API to create Survey Screen. Here is what I mean by that:

Consider that I create a survey in Checkbox
Instead of Checkbox conducting the survey for me I like to create an aspx page that I can pass Survey ID and using API it then create survey and conduct the survey the way Checkbox do it.

Does API give collection of HTML Tag for a survey or it is only give us a collection of Items for questions and Answers and we should take care of formatting and style?

Thanks
Paayaa

Paayaa,

While such a thing is certainly possible, it's probably not the solution you are looking for. Beyond the items and their associated data, there is a tremendous amount of work that goes into maintaining user sessions, handling survey security, etc. that would take many months to duplicate.

What specifically are you trying to accomplish?

Thank you for responding,
As I said, I am in process of creating a survey application which is quite different from Checkbox, I like to use checkbox as survey engine and use it to conduct the survey. There are two ways to do this. One is just using API and build everything on top of it (use checkbox web only for survey design). That means that I have to have a screen to conduct survey.
I guess second way is use Checkbox Web to conduct survey. In this case, I need to modify Checkbox web to use my user list and also use SQL membership to authenticate users. At this point I am trying to explore the cons and pro for each one of these ways and pick one them.
I am more lean to the second way which I believe is easier to achieve. What is your idea?

Thanks
Hossein

I agree that the second option is probably the best. If the main point of integration is with authenticating users, you could keep your users synchronized via the User Management web service in the developer kit or directly in the database. Once the users are in the database, you wouldn't need to do any custom authentication.
