Question Customizing the URL for surveys/forms

Hi --

I am wondering if it would be feasible to modify the application so that the URL used for accessing the survey can be customized? I'm trying to do this so that the URL is easier to type in for my users. I don't want to have to build code outside of Checkbox to handle this. Ideally, it would be an option in the form designer.

Thanks in advance.

Default Release 4.1

Checkbox Web 4.0 currently does not have any URL Rewriting functionality built in, but we have added it for verion 4.1, which is currently in QA.

In version 4.1, you will be able to specify an "Alternate URL" for the survey on the "Properties" page when editing a survey.

Default QueryString vars

Somewhat related to this thread...

Is there a list of query string variables and their expected values?

Specifically, I'm looking for one that controls the page of the survey you land on, but a reference would be interestings.

Default

First, let me apologize for the late reply. We had a problem with the forum for over a month that prevented thread notifications from being mailed to our support staff and we just found about it this week.

There is no built-in query string parameter that controls which page of the survey you land on, however there is built-in functionality to let you add this to your survey.

Checkbox supports "Hidden Items" that can read abitrary query string values from the URL. You can then add branching logic to direct users to specific pages based on the captured values.
