We currently don't have any plans to support importing surveys from Survey Monkey. Rather than trying to create some XML data to import, it may be easiest to re-create the survey in Checkbox. If you have a window with your Survey Monkey (or any other) survey open, you can easily copy the text from that survey into the question fields for items in the Checkbox Survey. The QuickEntry field for select types (radio button, checkbox, etc.) makes it easy to copy and paste those types as well. The process goes pretty quickly.
